Power League Gaming FZ LLC and its subsidiary, The EMU, are partnered with ADEK (Abu Dhabi Education and Knowledge department) to deliver the region’s first EMU program. The program is situated at Al Karamah institute in Abu Dhabi. The facility includes a bespoke gaming and streaming hub, spaced across 3 areas of the institute, fitted with next generation gaming consoles, gaming PCs and content creation hardware and software. This is supplemented with a fully functional production, broadcast and design studio.

ADEK’s main role is to develop the education system in Abu Dhabi, and promote a culture of creativity, sustainability and excellence, with a focus on developing human, social and economic capabilities.

ADEK’s Background

On the 10th of September 2005, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Supreme Commander of UAE Armed Forces, Ruler of Abu Dhabi issued the Law No. 24 of 2005, by which the Abu Dhabi Education Council (currently known as the Department of Education and Knowledge) was established. In September 2017, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE changed the name of the Abu Dhabi Education Council to become the Department of Education and Knowledge by Royal Decree. Accordingly, Law No. 9 of 2018 was issued to declare the establishment of the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) in order to replace the Abu Dhabi Education Council.
